All BANT Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (RNTP’s) work based on the functional medicine model.
That’s quite a mouthful so we’ll explain…….
Within the functional medicine approach, our attention is focused on those we work with as a whole and not just on one or two symptoms. We treat every client as an individual and look in depth, into each case.
Have you ever been to the doctor with an issue, they have treated a symptom but it doesn’t solve the problem? It maybe just masks the issue or it re-occurs, which can lead to more issues. This is often with no offer to get to the root cause of why it is happening.
The functional medicine model is designed to look for the root cause of an imbalance and what may be the biochemical or environmental trigger behind it.
Every mouthful of food or supplements are essentially chemical messages for the body.
Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioners provide evidenced based advice on how nutrients and foods may be reacting specifically to you. We then work with you to put a plan in place to help to achieve your goals.
