ABOUT

Mia Waterston Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (RNTP)

DipION, mBANT, CNHCr

The path that led me to nutritional therapy started when I developed polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). I wasn’t helped or advised by doctors as to what may be causing the issue, and instead just offered medication which I didn’t want to take. Through my own research I found that the prescribed hormonal substitutes would mask the problem for a short time but not solve the issue completely. After exploring many different avenues it led me to nutritional therapy and ultimately curing my PCOS.

With extensive research and learning, my goal is to help others do the same with whatever health concerns or conditions my clients may have.

As a Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (RNTP), I have studied evidenced based research as well as full biochemistry of the human body and clinical practice.

My recommendations are rooted in science, based on the latest research evidence and I regularly attend industry events and training courses to further my knowledge in new developments.

I am a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapy and lifestyle medicine (BANT) and the Complementary Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), which govern the way I practice to ensure I meet high professional standards. I am alumni of the renowned Institute of Optimum Nutrition (ION).

I work with people from all walks of life and strive to get to the root cause of my clients health issues, in collaboration with them over a meaningful period of time.

I run an online clinic, working with clients throughout the UK and internationally. This is met with a strong passion for joyful food and better, whole body health.

My whole emphasis is to help you to ‘Live Fulfilled’.

I always try to look at what you CAN and should eat first and not what you can’t. Adding in the correct nutrients is the key. If any exclusions are needed we will put a plan in place together.

Most ‘diets’ don’t consider our individual biochemistry, they are based on a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I look at history, past, present and also medications to devise and support my clients on the right path for them.

I have also been a sports therapist for 20 years and have an established sports massage and sports therapy business where my team treats musculoskeletal issues.
